"As a parent, few people are more important than those who teach my child and have the opportunity to influence his life.   My ten-year-old son’s experience as Jim Brown’s guitar student was terrific.  Not only did my son come away with a great introduction to music, but he always came out of his lesson with a smile on his face, clearly feeling good about himself.    In fact, it looked like my son and the other students were having so much fun, I became inspired to dust off my old guitar and take a few lessons myself.   With Jim’s encouragement and contagious enthusiasm, what began as a whim and interest in learning a few guitar chords soon grew into an unexpected venture into songwriting and singing.  Music has become, for me, a passion and great pleasure in life.    Jim is not only a talented, accomplished musician, but a natural, insightful teacher with an ability to build a rapport with students of all ages.   I feel very lucky, on behalf of my son and myself,  to have had the opportunity to work with Jim and would highly recommend him as an instructor to anyone who would like to pursue an interest in music."
